The Junior Blaydon Race returns on 9 June 2026! Join us at Shibdon Road Nature Reserve for this exciting multi-terrain event, proudly sponsored by Project Groundwater Northumbria. With a 1 Mile (ages 8–11) and 5K (ages 12–15), all runners get a medal, chip timing and goodies. Ballot opens 16 March—don’t miss out!

Blaydon Harriers put in a fantastic show at Alnwick Cross Country, with brilliant performances from both juniors and seniors. Our young athletes impressed with determination, sprint finishes and first‑time XC efforts, while the seniors tackled a testing course under blue skies. A great day of racing, teamwork and support—let’s keep the momentum going for the final race of the season!

The ballot for the 2026 Start Fitness Blaydon Race is now open, marking the forty fourth running of this iconic event. We hope to see many club members enter, but we also rely on volunteers to help deliver the race safely and smoothly. Your support keeps this historic event and our club thriving.
