What a fantastic day of racing for Blaydon Harriers at the NEHL Alnwick Cross Country on Saturday! From our enthusiastic juniors to our committed seniors, the club was out in force and showcasing everything that makes our team spirit so special.
Our juniors put in brilliant performances across the board, taking on the challenging Alnwick course with grit, determination, and plenty of smiles. A huge well done to every young athlete who raced — you all did the club proud!
Special shout-outs go to:
⭐ George, for a superb sprint finish that had spectators cheering him home
⭐ Lois, whose determination from start to finish was truly inspiring
⭐ Joseph, taking on his first-ever cross-country race — a massive achievement!
And an extra big pat on the back to Freddie and Phoebe, who raced after already playing football earlier in the day. That’s the kind of commitment that deserves a cheer!
Our senior athletes also put in a strong showing at Alnwick XC. Those who made the trip were rewarded with blue skies, a beautiful venue, and a properly challenging course — everything that makes cross-country racing so memorable!
A huge well done to everyone who raced, the camaraderie and encouragement out on the course were brilliant to see.
Thank you to all the parents, coaches, and supporters who travelled to cheer on the team — your support makes such a difference.
Let’s carry that momentum forward and aim for a big Blaydon turnout at the final race of the season. Let’s finish on a high!
