Parkrun Social at Gateshead Parkrun, 14 February 2026

Blaydon Harriers members enjoyed a great Parkrun social at Gateshead Parkrun in Saltwell Park on Saturday 14 February, proving there’s no better way to spend Valentine’s Day morning than running with friends.

Despite the early start, there was plenty of smiles, encouragement and post‑run chat. Saltwell Park provided a beautiful setting, and the relaxed parkrun atmosphere made it a perfect event for catching up and running together.

As always, events like this highlight the social side of club life just as much as the running itself. Whether people were pushing the pace, ticking off another parkrun, or simply enjoying being part of the group, it was great to see everyone supporting one another and representing Blaydon Harriers together.

Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such an enjoyable morning. Parkrun socials continue to be a brilliant way to bring the club together — on Valentine’s Day or any other weekend.
