Parkrun Celebration for Eden and Danny
One of the many things that makes Blaydon Harriers special is the friendships formed through running, and few stories capture that better than those of club member Eden Ratcliffe and her fiancé, Elswick Harrier, Danny Spoor.
With their wedding fast approaching, members of Blaydon Harriers and Elswick Harriers came together on Saturday 8 August at Prudhoe parkrun to celebrate the happy couple and wish them well ahead of their big day. The gathering was particularly meaningful for Eden's Blaydon running family, many of whom have shared countless training sessions, races and social occasions with her over the years.
Eden and Danny first met four years ago while training with Elswick Harriers, and running has been at the heart of their relationship ever since. A parkrun celebration therefore seemed the perfect way to mark the occasion, bringing together friends from across the running community for a relaxed 5K, plenty of conversation and, naturally, some cake afterwards.
Everyone at Blaydon Harriers & AC would like to congratulate Eden and Danny and wish them a fantastic wedding celebration in Italy and every happiness for their future together.
