What a fantastic day for Blaydon Harriers at the North Eastern Counties Cross Country Championships in Middlesbrough on 13 December 2025. The conditions were tough, but our athletes showed grit, determination, and plenty of smiles along the way.
A special shout-out to Ellie Fellows, who stormed to 2nd place in the U20 race, missing out on the win by just one second – an incredible performance! Seb Sharpe also impressed with a brilliant 6th place finish in the U11 boys.
We were proud to see so many of our juniors giving it their all: Felicity Richards in the U11 girls, Samuel Richards in U11 boys, Elijah Richards in U13 boys, Jacob Hendry and Noah Richards in U15 boys, Lois Richards in U15 girls, and Jacob Richards in U17 men. James Gray represented us strongly in the U20 men’s race too.
Our senior teams were out in force, with Abbi Lewis, Eden Ratcliffe, and Emma Dunn tackling the women’s race, and James Widmer and Barry Champion making their cross-country debut for the club in the men’s race – fantastic to see new faces joining the mud and hills!
An all-round cracking effort from everyone. We couldn’t be prouder of the spirit and determination on display. Well done, the Bees! 🐝
