The North East Harrier League returned to Lambton Estate on a typical autumn day, cold, bright and, unusually for cross country, mud-free. While numbers were a little lower due to half term and the Toon match, those who made it out, put in some excellent performances.
A big shout out to Ayla and Freddie Harrison, who smashed their first ever cross country race, a brilliant debut and a great start to their XC journey.
In the Senior Women’s Division Two, Blaydon delivered a strong team result, led home by Letha Whitham in seventh place. The team finished with 51 points, ahead of both Birtley and Crook, who scored 58 points each.
Thanks to everyone who turned out and represented Blaydon. Let’s keep building momentum as we head into the next fixture at Wrekenton on 23 November – get signed up and ready to race!
