What a fantastic day of racing at Druridge Bay for the second fixture of the 2025/26 North East Harrier League cross country season!

A huge well done to all Blaydon Harriers who took part on, brilliant efforts across all age groups and categories. The conditions were classic cross country: a bit of mud, a bit of wind, and a lot of determination!

A special mention goes to Seb Sharpe, who finished second in the Under 11 Boys race after a thrilling sprint to the line. It was a scramble for the medals, with just one second separating the top four finishers. Victory went to a Sunderland athlete in 4:32, with Seb given the judges' verdict for second place in 4:33. A fantastic run in a fiercely competitive field.

In the Senior Women’s race, Ellie Fellows delivered a standout performance from the fast pack, recording the fastest time of the day with 25:34.

A great day of racing and a strong showing from Blaydon Harriers. On to the next one!
