June 2021 Competition Round-up

June has been a busy month for track and field competitions, with plenty of Bees winning medals.

North East Grand Prix, 2 June 2021

Eden Burns continued her excellent form, winning the U13 girls’ 70m hurdles in 12.04 and is now ranked 6th in the UK.

NEMAA Track and Field, 7 June 2021

Roselle Oberholzer 800m – 1st in age category (2:53.7) 1500m – 2nd in age category (5:39.8)

Doreen Craig 100m – 1st in age category (17.8) 200m – 1st in age category (37.6) Shot – 1st in age category (4.05)

May McDonald had a fantastic day, she ran 11.9 sec, achieving the English Schools entry time of 12 sec.

NEYDL, 20 June 2021

Blaydon is in first place with 605 points.

May McDonald ran the 80HU in 11.9 sec for the second day in a row and also ran the 300HU in 45.6, beating the qualification time for English Schools entry.
