Let's Lift the Curfew: Join Blaydon Harriers for a Community Night Run
Blaydon Harriers are proud to be supporting the Let's Lift the Curfew campaign by hosting a free, inclusive 5km night run on Thursday 12 November 2026.
The campaign shines a light on an issue that affects many women and girls every day: the ability to feel safe, confident and free to be active outdoors after dark. Through this event, we hope to bring our community together, raise awareness and demonstrate our collective support for safer, more welcoming public spaces for everyone.
Whether you're a complete beginner, an occasional jogger, a regular runner or an experienced club athlete, you're invited to join us.
This is not a race. It's an opportunity to come together as a community, enjoy a friendly guided run and show support for a cause that matters.
Participants are encouraged to wear their brightest clothing, hi-vis gear and head torches as we light up the streets and make our presence seen.
