Blaydon Harriers runners were out in force on 30 June for the Bridges of the Tyne, one of the region's most popular summer road races.
Held on Newcastle Quayside, the event features a fast and predominantly flat five-mile course, taking runners past seven of the River Tyne's iconic bridges and offering spectacular views of the city's famous waterfront. A separate one-mile junior race also gave young athletes the opportunity to be part of the evening's action.
With warm summer conditions and a vibrant atmosphere along the quayside, Blaydon Harriers athletes produced some excellent performances, whether chasing personal bests, competing for positions, or simply enjoying the unique experience of racing through the heart of Newcastle.
The Bridges of the Tyne continues to be a highlight of the local racing calendar, bringing together runners of all abilities for an evening of competitive and enjoyable racing in an iconic setting.
Congratulations to everyone who took part and represented Blaydon Harriers.
