AJ Bell Great North 10K, 5 July 2026

Blaydon Harriers took part in the AJ Bell Great North 10K on 5 July 2026, joining thousands of runners for one of the North East's biggest and most popular road races. The event features a city-centre route through Newcastle and Gateshead, taking in some of the region's most iconic landmarks, including the famous Tyne Bridge.

Starting on the Great North Road, runners followed a scenic and energetic course through the heart of the city, with music, entertainment and fantastic crowd support helping to create a memorable race-day atmosphere.

Whether chasing a personal best, using the event as preparation for the Great North Run, or simply enjoying the experience of racing alongside thousands of fellow runners, Blaydon Harriers produced some excellent performances and proudly represented the club . The Great North 10K continues to attract runners of all abilities and remains a highlight of the summer racing calendar.

As always, the event showcased the strength of the running community across the North East, with supporters lining the route and creating a fantastic atmosphere from start to finish.
