Congratulations to Jess Levy, who produced an outstanding performance at The Priory Ultra, finishing as 3rd female and an impressive 14th overall.
Organised by Wild Deer Events, The Priory Ultra is a demanding 100km coastal ultramarathon, taking runners from Bamburgh Castle to Tynemouth Priory, following the spectacular Northumberland coastline and passing landmarks including Dunstanburgh Castle, Craster, Warkworth and Whitley Bay.
Covering 100 kilometres is a remarkable achievement in itself, requiring months of preparation, determination and resilience. To finish on the podium and place 14th overall in such a challenging event is a testament to Jess's strength and commitment.
The route is fully supported with multiple feed stations along the way, but runners must still contend with the physical and mental demands of a full day on the trails, making every finish a significant accomplishment.
Everyone at Blaydon Harriers is incredibly proud of Jess's achievement. Finishing 3rd female in a prestigious ultra-distance event is a fantastic result and further demonstrates the strength of endurance running within the club.
Well done, Jess, on a superb performance and a well-deserved place on the podium.
