Blaydon Harriers were represented at the Beyond Newcastle Ultra 55k on Saturday 25 April, with amazing performances over the challenging trail route that showcases the best – and toughest – of the North East.

Jess Levy, delivered a superb run to finish joint First Female and an impressive 23rd overall. Jess completed the 55k course in 5:14. A huge confidence boost and a performance to be proud of, this result sets Jess up perfectly as she now looks ahead to the next big ultra challenge on the horizon.

Also taking on the 55k challenge was Adam Acaster, who finished in a time of 8:39:33. In an event that demands patience, resilience and steady effort throughout, Adam showed real determination to bring it home over a demanding route and conditions.

The Beyond Newcastle Ultra once again lived up to its reputation as a testing but rewarding event, with runners required to dig deep over varied terrain and long miles. Congratulations to Jess and Adam on representing Blaydon Harriers so strongly and taking on one of the region’s standout ultra races.
