Blaydon Harriers runners headed to the Lake District for the Pooley Bridge Wild Trail Runs, enjoying a memorable day of trail running in one of the country's most stunning locations.

Set at the northern tip of Ullswater, the event offers runners the choice of a 10K or Half Marathon route, taking in spectacular Lakeland scenery, challenging trails and breath taking views.

Trail running presents a very different challenge to road racing, with varied terrain, climbs, descents and technical sections all testing runners' strength, endurance and concentration. The Pooley Bridge event is well known for combining these challenges with some of the most picturesque surroundings in the region.

Whether tackling the 10K or taking on the Half Marathon distance, our runners represented Blaydon Harriers brilliantly, embracing the adventure and spirit of trail running while enjoying a fantastic day's racing.

A huge well done to everyone who took part and flew the flag for the club in the Lake District. We hope you enjoyed every mile of the trails and the incredible views that came with them.
