NEYDL, 22 June 2025

Twenty-one of our brilliant junior athletes headed to Shildon on Saturday 22 June 2025 for the third North East Youth Development League (NEYDL) meet of the season, and what a day it was!

With the heat from earlier in the week thankfully easing, our athletes still had to dig deep as they faced some tough headwinds. But true to form, they rose to the challenge with determination, resilience, and plenty of smiles.

We were thrilled to see a flurry of personal bests and podium finishes across the team, but more than that, it was the atmosphere that stood out, positive, supportive, and full of fun. Every athlete should be incredibly proud of their efforts, both on and off the track. Their behaviour, team spirit, and sportsmanship, towards each other and our friends from Gosforth and Wallsend, were absolutely first class.
