NEHL Thornley Hall Farm Cross Country, 26 September 2026
The cross country season got underway in style on 26 September 2026 as Blaydon Harriers travelled to Thornley Hall Farm for the opening fixture of the North Eastern Harrier League (NEHL) 2026/27 season, hosted by Blackhill Bounders.
With clear skies, fantastic running conditions and plenty of enthusiasm for the start of another Harrier League campaign, it was the perfect day to swap road shoes for spikes and return to the mud, grass and challenging terrain that make cross-country racing so special.
Blaydon Harriers were well represented throughout the day, with runners across the club embracing the challenge of the opening fixture and proudly sporting our famous black and amber hoops.
A special congratulations goes to Matty, who produced an outstanding performance to finish 3rd place for the Senior Men, giving the club a podium finish to celebrate at the very first fixture of the season.
Well done to everyone who took part and represented Blaydon Harriers. It was a fantastic start to the cross country season, and we look forward to seeing what the rest of the 2026/27 season has in store.
Bring on the next fixture!
