The NEHL Eltringham Farm Cross Country on Saturday 21 March 2026 brought the cross country season to a close, and what a way to finish.
Huge congratulations to all Blaydon Harriers who took part and represented the club so well at the final fixture of the season. Eltringham Farm provided a proper cross country course, with plenty to test the legs: hills, mud, stiles and the infamous bridge, all set against a backdrop of welcome spring sunshine.
This year’s race marked the first use of a new course at Eltringham Farm, and many thanks must go to Prudhoe Plodders, and the landowners, Moralee Herefords, for working together to make it possible. The variety of terrain and traditional cross‑country features made it a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable challenge.
As always, the effort, determination and team spirit on display from Blaydon runners were fantastic. Athletes supported each other throughout the races, giving everything right to the finish line and rounding off the season in style.
A brilliant end to the Harrier League cross country season, everyone who took part should be incredibly proud of their performances and commitment over the winter. Results from the fixture can be found on the Harrier League website.
Well done to all and thank you for wearing the Blaydon Harriers colours so proudly.
