On the 9 Joon, the streets of Tyneside were once again filled with the sights, sounds and spirit of the Blaydon Race as thousands of runners took part in one of the North East's most iconic road races.

From seasoned competitors chasing personal bests to first-time participants taking on the famous route, the event once again showcased everything that makes the Blaydon Race so special. The atmosphere along the course was incredible, with spectators, volunteers and supporters providing encouragement from start to finish.

This year's race also marked an important moment in the event's history with the introduction of the Bob Houston Memorial Trophy, honouring the memory of our former Club President and long-serving Race Organiser. Bob's dedication, commitment and passion helped shape the race into the event it is today, and it was fitting to celebrate his lasting contribution through this new award.

The Blaydon Race continues to thrive because of the incredible support it receives from so many people. A huge thank you goes to our runners, volunteers, marshals, sponsors, emergency services, local authorities and the communities along the route who help make the race possible every year.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who laced up their running shoes and took part. Whether you were racing for a podium position, raising money for charity, running with friends or taking on a personal challenge, you helped create another memorable chapter in the story of the Blaydon Race.

We look forward to welcoming you back next year for another unforgettable evening on the road to Blaydon.
