The Blaydon Race – New for 2026

We’re pleased to share some exciting race‑day updates for The Blaydon Race 2026, aimed at improving travel, parking and the overall experience for runners and spectators.

For 2026, additional buses will be in operation alongside a new runner shuttle pick‑up and drop‑off point at the Metrocentre Coach Park.

This means:

• More parking

• Less congestion in Blaydon

• A faster, smoother race‑day experience

Runners will be able to select this option when completing their ballot application, helping the Club plan transport effectively.

⚠️ Following feedback and to keep pedestrians and our junior runners safe, illegal parking on Shibdon Road will be enforced.
