This year’s London Marathon was not just about record‑breaking elite performances. It was also a brilliant celebration of club running and the commitment, resilience, and community spirit that sits at its heart.
Huge congratulations go to all the Blaydon Harriers who took on the London Marathon last Sunday. Reaching the start line alone is a major achievement, reflecting months of structured training, early mornings, long runs, and consistent dedication.
Whether runners were chasing a personal best or simply aiming to cross that iconic finish line on The Mall, representing Blaydon Harriers at one of the world’s biggest marathon events is something to be immensely proud of. Wearing club colours on such a stage showcases not only individual effort, but also the strength and support of the wider club community.
You have done yourselves, your teammates, and the club proud. We hope the recovery has been kind and that the post‑marathon celebrations have been well earned. 🏅
