The North East Harrier League returned to the scenic estate of Lambton Castle for fixture number three. What was a pleasant, mild day, with short bursts of rain on already damp ground, made hard work of the two ‘inclines’ and just as hard for the descents.
The first race of the day saw U11B Daniel Ramshaw come home in 14th out of 58.
Shortly after in the U11G Lacey Johnson, Isla Finlay and Lily Ashall all had good runs completing the tough course.
In the U13B race we had a team of five runners led home by Noah Richards, closely followed by Jacob Hendrey, Aaron Jobson, Jacob Mcgurk and Harry Hems. The boys finished first team, with Jacob currently second in the individual GP and the Club also second in the table. Noah will now move to the fast pack.
In the U15B race we had five runners, Jamie Lonergan being first back, followed by Robert Atkinson, Jacob Richards, Finn Graham and Luke Page. The lads finished fifth team on the day, maintaining fifth place in the overall seasons table and Robert is currently third in the individual GP.
The U17B race saw James Gray finish 15th from the fast pack, unfortunately no other team mates on the day saw an incomplete team.
Ellie Fellows in the U17G race finished eighth from the medium pack to place her sixth in the individual GP.
Both senior teams saw excellent turn outs with the Senior Women led home by Elaine Small, followed by Beth Bradford, Letha Whitham, Rosie Bunney, Emma Cartwright, Joanne Ramshaw, Steph Ashall, and Joanne Graham. The ladies finished fourth team on the day and sit third in the Division 3 table fighting for promotion! Elaine and Beth were both promoted to the medium pack.
In the Senior Men’s race we had 12 athletes completing two teams, Will Collinson was first back, closely followed by Hedley Fletcher, Martin Graham, David Best, Mathew Levison, James Dias, Rob Young, Oliver Bailes, Jaycee Shotton, Ian Brooks, Isaac Dunn, and Michael Friberg. Team A finishing third on the day and moving the team up to seventh in Division 2 overall!
