Our Induction group training session on Thursday 2 April gave a brilliant snapshot of the energy, enthusiasm and teamwork shown by our youngest athletes each week – and thanks to Del Stevyn, we now have the photos to prove it.
This week’s session focused on strengthening work interspersed with one‑minute efforts, helping athletes develop both strength and stamina in a fun and supportive environment. The group then worked collaboratively to complete a team relay, before finishing the evening with track relays, ensuring plenty of smiles, effort and encouragement along the way.
What really stood out was the teamwork on display. Athletes supported one another throughout, learning how to work together, push themselves and enjoy being part of a team – skills that are just as important as running fast.
We were delighted to welcome photographer Del Stevyn, who captured some fantastic action shots throughout the session. The photos perfectly reflect the determination, focus and enjoyment our induction athletes bring to training, and they are simply too good not to share.
A huge well done to everyone who took part and continues to turn up week after week ready to learn, improve and support their teammates. This is exactly what Blaydon Harriers is all about.
