Team Blaydon and Elswick Compete at NESDL Track and Field, 14 June 2026

Athletes from the Blaydon Harriers and Elswick Harriers joint team were back in action on 14 June as they competed in the third fixture of the North East Senior Development League (NESDL) season.

The NESDL provides an important opportunity for athletes to compete across a wide range of track and field events, contributing valuable points for their team while gaining competitive experience in a supportive league environment. Blaydon and Elswick compete together in Division One, alongside clubs from across the region.

As always, the fixture showcased the strength and depth of athletics across the club, with athletes stepping up in a variety of disciplines including sprints, middle-distance, jumps and throws. Every performance contributed towards the team's overall score, highlighting the importance of teamwork and versatility throughout the league season.

The Senior Development League plays a vital role in providing competition opportunities for athletes of all abilities, from those gaining experience in new events to seasoned competitors looking to test themselves against strong opposition.
