NESDL Track and Field Match, 26 April 2025

Saturday 26 April 2025, marked the first NESDL Track and Field match of the season, held at Churchill playing fields in Whitley Bay. It was a fantastic day for athletics and a great opportunity for our athletes to get back into competitive action.

A big well done to Letha Whitham, Caroline Angell and Jamie Lonergan for representing Blaydon with determination and energy on the joint team with Elswick Harriers. Their efforts helped set the tone for the team and contributed to a strong overall performance.

Jamie Lonergan was also in action on Wednesday 30 April at the North East Grand Prix (NEGP), where he ran an impressive 4:20 in the 1500m.

We’re thrilled to report that the Blaydon/Elswick team got off to a flying start, winning the fixture, and putting ourselves in a great position for the season ahead.
