Blaydon juniors were out in force at the NECAA Track and Field Championships in Shildon on Sunday 11 May 2025, and it was a fantastic day all round!
A huge congratulations to Aaron Jobson, who stormed to a win and a new PB in the hurdles, an incredible achievement and a well-earned result!
In the 100m, Abigail McLaughlin and Violet McTeer both made it through to the finals, showing real speed and determination. Violet also achieved a PB, capping off a brilliant sprint performance.
It was great to see so many of our juniors giving track and field a go, embracing the challenge and doing themselves proud on the big stage.
A big thank you to Derek and Doreen Craig for supporting the athletes on the day, your help makes such a difference.
Well done to everyone who competed. The future is bright for Blaydon athletics!
