Avoria Graham from our Induction group took part in the Funetics Quadathlon multi-challenge event at Gateshead Stadium, hosted by Gateshead Harriers. The event included four activities: the 50m sprint, howler throw, standing long jump, and 400m, and Avoria gave it her all in every one!
She had a fantastic evening, finishing 1st in the 50m, 3rd in the standing long jump, and coming 2nd overall. A brilliant achievement and a great reward for her effort and enthusiasm. Well done, Avoria!
The Quadathlon was a great event for young athletes who enjoy track and field, with lots of fun and encouragement throughout the evening.
Up next is the North of Tyne Athletics Network (NOTAN) Run, Jump, Throw event for school years 3–6. It takes place on 24 May, and entries are now open. You can find the entry link on Spond – we’d love to see more of our young athletes getting involved!
