What a fantastic night of running! Huge thanks to everyone who came along to our Club 5k Handicap Time Trial and made it such a great evening. From fast finishes to first-time PBs, there was plenty to celebrate.
For those new to it, our Club 5k Handicap is a fun, friendly event where everyone sets off at staggered times based on their estimated pace. The aim is for everyone to finish around the same time, which means it’s all to play for in the final sprint! It’s a brilliant way to challenge yourself, track your progress, and have a bit of healthy competition along the way.
A big shoutout to The Richards for keeping us fuelled with watermelon and home-baked cookies, absolute legends, and thank you to Emma Lane and Rosie Bunney for keeping everyone safe out on the course.
Well done to everyone who completed the 5K, there were so many brilliant performances and new personal bests. Special congratulations to Alison Richards, who stormed through the finish in first place with an epic sprint finish.
There were far too many achievements to list, so a massive well done again to all who took part. We’ll be doing it all again on 25 September 2025, that’s two months to make the most of your club sessions and see what you can knock off your time!
Keep running, keep smiling, and we’ll see you there.
