Blaydon Trio Take on the Lakesman Triathlon, 21 June 2026

Congratulations to Hedley Fletcher, Neil Fellows and Tim Nichol, who took on the challenge of the Lakesman Triathlon in June 2026.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Lake District, the Lakesman is one of the UK's premier long-distance triathlon events, testing athletes across three demanding disciplines before crossing the finish line in Keswick.

Completing a long-distance triathlon requires months of preparation, dedication and resilience. From the early-morning swims and long hours on the bike to the final miles of the run, every competitor earns their finish through determination and hard work.

Representing the wider Blaydon endurance community, Hedley, Neil and Tim put in tremendous performances and were all rewarded with well-deserved finishes after a challenging day of racing. The trio were pictured proudly displaying the Blaydon Tri Team flag after crossing the line, a fitting way to celebrate their achievements.

Everyone at Blaydon Harriers would like to congratulate Hedley, Neil and Tim on their fantastic efforts and commitment. Completing an event of this scale is a remarkable achievement and one that should be celebrated.
