The North East Youth Development League (NEYDL) is a series of inclusive, confidence‑building track‑and‑field fixtures for athletes aged 11–16, providing opportunities to compete against regional clubs while supporting learning, development and enjoyment. Juniors can take part in a wide range of events across the U13, U15 and U17 categories, choosing up to three per fixture, with the emphasis firmly on participation, team spirit and discovering new strengths. The league is completely free, making it an accessible way for young people to experience athletics and grow within a supportive environment.
